We use the product for food preparation. The top expands and folds up for easy and quick stow-away. The drawer is good for large utensils but not big enough for zip lock bags/foils/plastic wraps, as the packages get jammed. We felt the storage for knives is not safe. The knives can fall through the bottom and do not stand up straight. They flop around making it easy to hit them when walking by and also scratching the top. We have taken off the knife case and the cart looks much cleaner.

This is a great addition to my kitchen, I needed alittle more work space & a place for my child to do homework while I'm cooking. The only negative I have is that I wished all four rollers locked into place.... But overall a great product!!!!

I am also using it as a small tabletop for grandkids since I don't have an eat-in kitchen - easy to move around and takes up little space. Works well with short barstools.

Although my kitchen isn't large, it's not small either. That said, this island was the perfect size adding additional storage I desperately needed. I also love the fact that I can now eat on this island while watching tv from the kitchen.

It wasn't really too difficult to assemble. I only screwed up once when I had a left and right side mixed up, because the pictures don't specify and the pieces aren't labeled L or R. But other than that, it was pretty easy to put together.
My wife loves it. The only problem with construction is that the leaf that flips up has a small metal rod that holds it up, I just wouldn't put anything too heavy on the leaf part. But the rest of it seems nice and sturdy. All my pieces came undamaged and fit together nicely.

I looked at a million carts on line and this one was selected because it's 16 inch depth under my 18 inch deep counter was ideal for the space. The cart is stored under an open countertop which I had installed one inch taller than a typical 36 inch counter so it would allow clearance for the 34 inch cart. The drop-down leaf will add good working surface when I use it as an island.
I plan to pull it out and use it as an island occasionally. However my primary motivation for having a cart was for moving meals from the kitchen to our den when we want to watch a special TV show. The cart will store napkins and things like ketchup and serving utensils...things I usually have to run back to the kitchen to get. Guess it will be smart to bring a wet sponge along too.
My only complaint is that the drawer should have glides for a smoother pull but given the friendly price, I am satisfied with the quality.

I use this product as extra counter space and storage in my kitchen. I love the workspace as well as the cabinet and drawer space. It made an excellent addition to my kitchen. The only thing i felt wasn't so great was the amount of time to put together, but in the end it was well worth it!

We are completely thrilled with our new island.. It is exactly what we were looking for.. However.. I have one suggestion..we had difficulty determining which #1 was L or R and consequently we first mistakenly assembled the left side, and when we went to slide in the back panel.. of course there were no grooves to slide it into... therefore, we had to take it apart, and start on the right side.. Once we changed sides, the assembly went very smoothly.. Maybe an L or R along the number 1 would help other consumers a lot.... We also couldn't figure out the knife holder, or how to attach the top so it won't slide....[...]

So far I am very pleased with this island. The top is a nice sturdy wood block (the rest of the island is mostly particle board). I just moved to a new apartment with a small kitchen, and this gives me the extra work space and storage that I need. It would be nice if it was solid wood, but for the price I really can't complain about that, and it looks nice anyway. The instructions are not the best - take a minute to study ALL of the pictures before you start, since there are almost no words at all, so little details in the pictures are all you have to work with. Also, the instructions have you attach one part (number 18) in the first step, but later in order to reach the screwdriver in to attach the top I had to remove that part anyway - so you may want to keep that in mind and just attach piece #18 after the top is on.
Overall, this is a good buy if you need a little more space in your kitchen and don't want to spend too much money.

I'm very pleased with my island.The drawer did'nt fit, but thankfully my son was able to get it modified .That is really a problem that needs to be addressed.

Once you get the product together, it is fine. The instructions are in adequate. I wish the base were deeper.

this is being used as an island in our kitchen. it has an ok amount of storage space and a pretty spacious work area, when the extra part is raised up. the work area wood seems to be of ok quality. it was a little tricky to put together, some of the screws stripped since it was tough to get some of them in, but after it was put together, it seems pretty sturdy. all in all, it was a good deal for the price.
this item was delivered super quick, i ordered it before thanksgiving with an estimated delivery time after thanksgiving, but i was pleasantly surprised to have it before thanksgiving.
